All funds raised by the Steve Harris Memorial Charity benefit the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

Harbor UCLA Medical Center is a Los Angeles County Hospital affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Harbor UCLA blends academic and clinical excellence in a culturally diverse setting. As a Los Angeles County Hospital, Harbor UCLA is dedicated to serving only disadvantaged families who are uninsured, and often have nowhere else to turn.

The Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology is responsible for the treatment of cancers and blood disorders among children by providing diagnostic work-up, standard and investigational therapies, and treatment for complications of therapy.

Children and families dealing with or recovering from cancers and blood disorders are often faced with various stresses, including physical, emotional, and financial burdens that can affect the entire family. The Steve Harris Memorial Charity hopes to alleviate some of these troubles by providing socio-economic services and support to the families at Harbor UCLA through funds raised.
